Botanical Illustrations by Christina Brodie

I took up botanical painting in 1998. Since doing so, I have received Gold (2003, 2005) and Silver-Gilt (2000) Medals at the RHS Shows in London and Birmingham NEC, and have written a book about botanical painting, Drawing and Painting Plants, published by A & C Black. I have taught botanical painting both at Somerset adult education centres and at RHS Rosemoor (Devon).

I love to paint several objects on a single page, rather than just one object, to give a decorative effect; perhaps this is the result of my background in textile design! A close-up view of some of the paintings can be selected, which shows a better view of the detail within each painting. Click on paintings to view larger images.
