I
have worked on several design and planting projects. My main
interest lies in interior planting schemes, and I specialize
in the design and creation of temporary installations for events
such as exhibitions and shows, or “plant styling”.
I can produce site surveys and fully rendered sketches and design
drawings including ground plans, sections and axonometrics.

I
received a Gold Medal, as well as the prize for Best Feature Garden,
at the National Amateur Gardening Show 2004. The “Temple of
Flora” Garden used the theme of Victorian exploration as its
inspiration, and was noted for its originality. For a list of and

The garden
as constructed at the National Amateur Gardening Show 2004, featuring
an antique Victorian basket-chair, tropical climbers, orchids on
moss-covered logs, and a bottle garden planted with miniature orchids.
Tiled panels illustrating the “Victorian Explorers”
theme were also displayed at points around the garden.
A view of the
Darwin tile panel. On the left of the picture is a moss-covered
log planted with Neoregelias and red Burrageara orchids, with magnificent
1m-high red and yellow Odontoglossum orchids in the background.
To the right are a species of Amorphophallus, together with pale
yellow Paphiopedilum and red-purple Cymbidium orchids.
A spectacular
morning-glory featured in the garden. The flowers are approx. 10cm
across and the most vivid, intense blue.
A
species of Lepanthopsis, one of the miniature orchids from the bottle
garden. The tiny, perfect pink-purple flowers are no more than 3mm
across.
